Department Information
Oakland’s Code Enforcement office currently oversees the development and construction of several commercial projects and more than 20 subdivisions. Building Permits, Fence Permits, Mechanical Permits, Yard Sale Permits, Plumbing Permits, Re-Inspect Permits Sign Permits, and applications to submit to Oakland’s Planning Commission are handled through this office. For permit applications, please visit the Building Permits page.

The following General Permit Information download provides general information to homeowners/contractors for permits issued for accessory structures (storage sheds, garages, gazebos, arbors, etc.), pools, fences, patio covers, and decks.
