The Town of Oakland, Tennessee (population approximately 6,650) is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Town Manager. The Town of Oakland is situated in Fayette County and is located 30 minutes east of Memphis. The Town Manager reports directly to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and is responsible for the effective management of all Town departments.
Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree preferred, with a course of study in public or business administration, finance or equivalent subjects. Five years’ experience in local government planning or administration, or equivalent experience in business or government. Combinations of the above qualifications or other qualifications may be acceptable as determined by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Residency within the Town is not required. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
